Herrentag

Meine Herren...
Heut' wird erst richtig mir bewusst,
dass ihr schon an der Mutterbrust
als Bübchen hattet's wahrlich schwer
und Stamm zu halten gabt Gewähr.

Noch mehr galt das für euch als Knaben,
belastet mit Männeraufgaben:
das Auto waschen, stets parieren,
um Vaters Stolz nicht zu verlieren.

Als Burschen konntet ihr sodann
an Werk und Weib so richtig ran,
gefordert wurde euer Mut,
dass ihr auswähltet alles gut.

Jetzt strotztet ihr vor Manneskraft,
die sogar Kind und Kegel schafft.
Selbst wenn das Tagwerk schon vollbracht,
ihr musstet ran noch manche Nacht.

Zudem verlangt die Mannesnorm,
zu wahren stets der Würde Form:
Nie darf euch etwas so verletzen,
dass Tränen eure Wang' benetzen!

Seid schließlich ihr ein weiser Greis,
macht euch die Alte trotzdem heiß,
im Herbst des Lebens noch zu nützen,
der Enkel Haus und Hof zu stützen.

Heut' seid ihr endlich einmal frei,
des Mannes Pflicht vergessen sei!
Ihr schleicht ja wieder heim am Morgen,
verloren wärt ihr ohne unser Sorgen.
